Down in the underground

So it turns out Wikipedia's list of hoards found in Britain gives the precise latitude and longitude of the places those hoards were found.

I hope my time machine comes back from the shop soon.

  1. Paradox-friendly withdrawal, since most were discovered after I was born.

    Given paradox immunity, I'd just take a few sacks of peppercorns back to first-century Rome and trade them for all the gold I could carry, cutting out the middleman.

  2. I'd check the relative value of gold and silver - if it varies enough from today, you could make some profitable arbitrage; and if you were careful about the volume you move at any one stopping time, essentially invisible in the time stream, given the fungibility of both.

    Alternately, if you have the cargo volume, salt...
